Bulletproof Templates

A Joomla 1.5.x template can be installed in a few simple steps:

1. Log into Joomla Admin
2. Go to Extensions : Install/Uninstall to load the Extension Manager
3. If not already active, click on the Install link to load the install page/tab. Click on the Browse button to locate and select the zip file of the template you wish to install
4. Click on Upload File & Install
5. Once successfully uploaded, you will receive an alert stating so
6. Go to Extensions : Template Manager. You will see the new template listed, but it is not currently the default (active) template
7. You need to make the new template the Default template for your site. Select the radio button for the newly uploaded template then click on the Default icon. When the switch has been made, a star will appear next to the new template
