December 2009 marks the start of the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark. CoolPlanet2009.org is part of the United Nations led Seal the Deal Campaign. The campaign aims to galvanize political will and public support for reaching a comprehensive global climate agreement in Copenhagen in December 2009. Climate change affects us all. Nine out of every ten disasters recorded are now climate related.

We worked with some of our Joomla industry peers to deliver The United Nations' CoolPlanet2009 website. Specifically providing specialist CSS services for the display of the Wall of Events section of the website.

2008 is the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The United Nations already had a flash based website but, to mark the special occasion, they wanted the website to be available in user friendly XHTML/CSS format.

Official Joomla host, Dundee based Rochen Limited needed to freshen up their existing design and bring it into the "naughties".

The brief was simple: make the website look a little more polished; widen the page; ensure XHTML & CSS compliance; keep the page load down and; make the whole site seamless (Rochen use WordPress to manage their blog and Client Exec to manage their customer sign up process).

All with one constraint - the overall feel of the site had to remain as near to the original as possible.
